MONTGOMERY STILL IN CONTENTION
Scott Montgomery is one the poker stars to be still in contention in the WSOPC Rincon. With 18 players remaining Negreanu finds himself in eighth position with Kwinsee Tran leading the way.
Other recognizable names still in contention include Dwyte Pilgrim, Scott Montgomery, Todd Terry, Ali Eslami and a red hot Tim West, having just won the 2011 Wynn Classic main event.
The $10k WSOPC Rincon Regional Championship drew just 98 players creating a $950,600 prizepool.
MONTGOMERY DEFEATS MUELLER
Scott Montgomery sent Greg Mueller spiralling to defeat after an impressive display. The first elimination of the flight went to Titan Poker pro Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi, who was defeated at the hands of Justin Bonomo. Then, November Niner Jason Senti’s pocket queens could not hold against Vanessa Selbst’s A-K for his tournament life. Elsewhere in the field, Scott Montgomery sent Greg Mueller packing with pocket kings against pocket eights and Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi eliminated Selbst after scoring the nut flush.
MONTGOMERY WINS WSOP GOLD BRACELET
Scott Montgomery once again proved his class by winning another Championship. Scott Montgomery was the winner of the $1,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em championship at the 2010 World Series of Poker. This marked his first career WSOP gold bracelet victory after eight previous cashes here in Las Vegas. Montgomery is best known for his fifth-place finish in the 2008 WSOP Main Event. He earned $3,096,078 for that outstanding performance and came up big again at this year’s series, with a first-place cash totaling $481,760.
Scott Montgomery Poker
It would be amazing if I was as good at poker as Scott Montgomery is! Only problem is that it takes a LOT of practice!
